Stress Management
Stress
is ubiquitous. It can be defined as the wear and tear on the mind and body in
response to everyday irritations. When
left unchecked it can be quite detrimental to health and wellbeing. Stress affects
people physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Stress and Health
According to a growing body of scientific
evidence, up to 90% of all health problems are related to stress. It is however,
not the stressful events themselves that do the harm, it is how people perceive
and respond to them. Chronic conditions often evolve from persistent stress, or in other cases, are exacerbated by stress, which can impede recovery and drain energy.

Emotions and feelings have a powerful effect on the human body. Negative emotional reactions trigger undesirable
physiological changes that can create or exacerbate a variety of health and emotional

fatigue, and sleep disturbances, to name but a few.
